Hello!

My name is Wayne C. Long. I am a writer of short stories. Short fiction. Miniature masterpieces, some people call them. I love writing them with a passion!

But one aspect of my writing career that I dreaded was moving from the printed page to finally establish a presence on the Internet. It was my dream to sell my stories directly to a worldwide audience via cutting-edge e-commerce technology.

To turn my dream into reality, I needed a great Web site!

Where to turn?

I live in a tiny (pop.680) East-Central Wisconsin village. No Web designers here!

In early 2007, I took my dream to a handful of regional Web design firms in my county and asked them to give me their best shot at a turn-key proposal and quotation.

I turned every one of them down! Why? Well, they were trying to reshape my dream. Reshape it into the same formulaic Web work they have been used to throwing out to small and large businesses for years. And, I might add, at exorbitant prices!

Thanks, but no thanks!

I next drove my dream to the Internet and parked there for two weeks, surfing for a Web design team or individual who could do three key things:

• Promptly return my phone calls and e-mails.
• Not insult my intelligence and yet tactfully and professionally lead me by the hand along the (to me) daunting pathway to a Web site I could be proud of, one that says “Hey, look at me, world!”
• Deliver this turn-key e-commerce site (and on-going hosting services) at a fair price, with no hidden fees or after-service surprises.

Let me tell you, folks, after spending over 35 years selling services to individuals, small businesses, and large corporations, I have seen it all!

Customer service has become as scarce as honest politicians. Individuals proactively driven by a professional work ethic? All but impossible to find!

Enter, Mr. Eugene Barnes.
